I was just wondering... About TI, the community and TIOS
I was just wondering...
What would you do if TI came to the community and asked "Do you want to help us improve our OS?"
More possible answers are welcome.
Please tell me if there are any grammar/vocabular errors.

I don't see them asking for help any time soon, but if they did I'd write my own OS. I'm not about to 'lend' them my programming 'skills' (what skills? where?) no matter how crappy they might be. Besides, if you make your own OS you can make it do exactly what you want it to do, instead of just helping TI with an OS..
TI is really lame in how the handle the community, they almost go as far as to deny there is a community at all. Why would that same community help them? There's nothing to gain..
So let's write our own MaxCoderz OS, and don't let TI know until it's finished, anyone up to it? I know TI didn't really like Michael Vincent's ceptic, why was that again, because it could unlock the flash? (*shudders* that is really bad.. unlocking the flash.. ) lol TI doesn't spy on MaxCoderz does it?

They thought he was using their code. That would be the only legal basis I think. But they don't care anymore.King Harold wrote:I don't see them asking for help any time soon, but if they did I'd write my own OS. Interresting
but I don't think the TIOS is fine not as long as they use hex coded dec, or bcalls wich have an option of writing to the display (wich must be horribly slow to support both draw to buffer and display)
I saw a very fast alternative basic language around, so TI-basic could be updated,... and much more (support for running stuff from archive, is it really THAT hard to copy a program from flash to $9D95?)

Sure, I'd do it. If they'd pay me for it, and I could use it as an internship for my education I'd happily spend the coming five months working on a new OS for them
