Sorry if this doesn't really help the topic, but what program did you use to make that screenshot? It was suprisingly flicker-free.

And cool battle system, BTW.

Tales of Symphonia (which I rented yesterday and is due back next week) has a nice battle system. Either through special events or as you travel, you'll entire a live-action combat system where you can only focus your attacks on one enemy, although if another enemy is near or you do an attack that covers a wide area you can hit other enemies as well, and you can switch your focus to another one using R and then selecting.

You can do sword slashing attacks, or use abilities to attack, which cost TP. TP recovers a bit through items, at the end of battle when exp and gold and rate is added (or subtracted), or when you attack an enemy.

Blocking is another important element.. theres a few things about it. You can hold your block for awhile, but if you do it too long and get attack, your defense can be broken through. And blocking only defends against most of the damage, not all of it. You can also jump over enemies, and if you get knocked into the air, pressing the block button does an air-recover (or whatever it's called) and you land instead of smack into the ground and stay there temporarily.

Ontop of that, 4 human players can all be in the battle at once, if you set the other party members to Manual attack mode. I think semi-auto means AI will be default but a human player can take over the control.

Also I gotta note that the game is very very pretty :D Anime-style but not overdone in bright colors, more subtle tones with bright colors makes an interesting and pretty blend; I especially like the intro at the titlescreen.

Really? I had no idea it was that far along already. I tell ya, that CoBB is one programing fiend! 8)

DarkAuron is really on to something there. I really can't add much to that. I think it can all work as long as the hit detection is solid.

The only thing I don't like about PTI is the screen shots are a bit small and contrast is too grey for black and white.

I think CoBB might have fixed that ... apparently he has a high contrast monitor or something so he never noticed it :).

PindurTI is simple to get working. Just dump your ti-83 rom, drag and drop it onto the pindurti exe file and left click anywhere in the main window :).

You can also uses ion saves from vti which is handy.

I doubt Texas instruments is even aware of our existence and realy don't think that these people have time to snoop around amateur calc programming forums looking for mention of roms.
