Probably because it's quicker than going to ticalc.org and clicking links to get toyour name, and shows you just the info you need.

How about making a program that lets you look through, sort, and search the ticalc.org files easier? For times that you want to, say, search for a certain program name for a specific calc model?

...there's the search function at ticalc.org.

Anything else would take too much time and effort imho.

yeah, but looking for a common game results in many results for many calculators. You need to manually click on each one to find the ones for your calc.

The problem with the ticalc method is that there's no real way to compare statistics between files. With CalcStat you'll have all of the information for all of your files in front of you for comparison. It will also provide additional statistics that Ticalc doesn't include.

I've switched GUI toolkits, so now CalcStat will use wxPython instead of Tkinter. I've changed it so the GUI us now based on MDI (multiple document interface), allowing the user to move windows containing the information they want where they want them.

It looks awesome so far, but not finished enough to show screens.

I need a good icon, but I just don't have the pixel art skillz needed. You guys do this sort of thing as a hobby, so I was hoping to get some help.
Any takers? You'll get the credit you deserve. 8)

not really. :P
The lack of wxPython for osx has really set me back.
I'm hoping sooner or later ticalc.org will get the xml files working.

Someone needs to get them to supply XML pages, since ticalc.org now blocked author page hotlinking. :P

Oh, and elfprince and kllrnohj are using wx+python for the gCn clientside stuff.

I talked to Jason about it a while ago, and he is currently "working" on it :P
There isn't a version of wxPython for the latest version of OSX, and when I tried to install it I got an error.
Once the xml thing gets done at ticalc, the possibilities will be endless! I'm thinking about doing a dashboard widget that displays ticalc author data. :D
