It's a pretty funny series. Even if it is a ripoff of the Simpsons and American Dad is a ripoff of Family Guy.

I wouldn't say that Family Guy is so much of a rip-off of the Simpsons I mean sure they have similarities such as, they are both animated comedies about American families. I am certain that the Simpsons has influenced Family Guy in many ways it is by no means a "rip-off" I would say that Family Guy has a lot more high brow humor than the Simpsons.

Now as for American Dad you can't really judge it as a rip-off since it is made by the exact same creator. Anyone i have talked to says that Family Guy is so much funnier than American Dad and Seth MacFarlane (the series creator) should just stick with that now that it has been uncancelled. However, indeed American Dad is surprisingly like Family Guy.

It was almost like a joke...I mean the whole family had so much similarities. Instead of a talking dog, throw in a talking alien instead...

Personally I don't like american dad. It's to much like Family guy, I mean the characters practically mirror each other.

Though I am glad they are bringing Family guy back, now if they just do the same with Futurama.

You're right Mortal-God, maybe I did rush to judgement. After all, I've only seen the pilot episode.

I'm hoping Futurama comes back. Didn't you love that Simpsons last week where they drive through the quantum tunnel and Bender suddenly appears in their car?

Futurama is on Adult Swim btw. So is Family Guy. It was on even tho it got cancelled on Fox

True, but it's still cancelled. Plus not everybody has Direct Dish. I can't understand why FOX keeps cancelling shows like Futurama to replace them with one-season stinkers like that ridiculous Japaneese gameshow spoof last year (I can't remember the name, it was very very long). My Asian roommate caugh me watching that and I started sweating like Ashley Simpson taking the SATs. Actually, I got what I deserved watching that disaster of a program.

And what ever happened to Bernie Mac and Oliver Beene? Even Malcom in the Middle is getting flipped around faster than a... [that's it, I've run out of these cowpoke analogies]. The only thing certain is the Simpsons. I'm writting my congressman! :: Storms off ::

Direct Dish.... Wha? Cartoon Network is almost a standard channel on every cable provider anymore...

I didn't see that episode... Man, I would have loved to have seen that...

Agreed DigiTan, Fox keeps cancelling there good shows and putting up there bad ones. Really compared to whats out there now fox had some nice stuff. NBC totally sucks, they only have a few shows that are even watchable. But ofcourse Fox has this constant urge to make them self suck.

Man I really did like Oliver Beene, that was good show. Titus too(not as much though). Andy Richter(kinda good)

They really just need to give there shows a chance. Though hopefully they won't fuck up Arrested Development.
