This is NOT an actual screen shot, but is a good representation of how my game will look (it is using the same tile set.) The game may/may nothave real time combat...but it will be in a city setting. It is still pretty early though.

If you need the real-time-combat you can use the generic engine of my (shoeboxed) Rilphia Saga game, and just do some modifications to it. Note: it uses omnicalc.
omnicalc will likely be used, but I am not sure how the engine will work yet (I plan on having ducking behind obstacles and lots of other wierd stuff, I am just not sure how it will all work out right now.)
do you mean that you could see through the fence? If that is the case, no. If you mean that the character could stand behind the fence and be partialy obscurred, then yes.

yeah seeing him through the fence would be way too hard to do
