Awesume calculator viruses, anyone?

Post by Drak Dragon »

okay, the next time you clear your ram (or something causes it to clear itself for you) try this?

hit y=
press zero.
hit 2nd
hit zero (enter catalog)
press "E"
Choose equ->str and hit enter
hit "Vars"
press Right
choose Y1 and hit enter
type a comma
hit vars, and choose str, and str1, and hit enter
when its all on the homescreen, hit enter four or five times
hit y=
it should be all deformed and such
.... press down.

for weird effects type in some random st00f in the y1 before you press the final down. Try things like "PKEDJOO" or something like that.

That's not so much a virus as a bug in the OS.

Enter this at homescreen on a TI83:
[[2,2][2,2]]->[A]
[A]/2
{1,1}->dim([A]
hit Y=

Kaboom!

And no, I couldn't get your bug to work.
You know your hexadecimal output routine is broken when it displays the character 'G'.

its a code ive been messing with since i found it at ticalc.org. how to thump your calculator

make sure all y vars are cleared

press graph
press y=
type 0
press enter
press 2nd
press o (open catalog)
press alpha then E
press down 7 times or until it says equ>str
press enter
press vars key
press right 2 times (yvars)
press enter on Y1
comma
press vars
string 1
press enter 4 times
press y= (if it crashed now its because your calculator has not been reset before doing this)
press enter

stuff to type on that line before you press enter on the y= thing.

try the following

DARKFORCE
GGWING
(pi symbol)
EVILDEAD
INCOMING

the crash can either be beautiful or chaotic. ive been able to access the "powers Menu" once... it looks exactly like a menu on vars, but it is deep yellow
rarely it becomes a bluish color.

uses battery li'l bit more than normal

Is this supposed to be some kind of joke?
