I am going to kill my calc...

Post by ProphetsDementia »

Okay, so I update to the new OS 2.41. I thought it was cool and stuff. But then, I tried to download the new xLib 0.602b APP on to it. It didn't work. (Access is denied.) So, I restart my comp and try again. Still doesn't work.(The currect transfer was a failure. A retry may successful.) I restart my computer by shutting down and turning it back on, also changing the cords I was using and refreshing the Calc Selection Screen. I still didn't work. I tried downloading a new file (Pyroedit II and III).

Then, it said, "Invalid files. Cannot transfer to Archive."

I say, WTF? and rip my stress ball into little pieces. Can some one help remedy this problem before I throw my monitor into my computer?

Thanks, ProphetsDementia.

So I'm assuming you can't downgrade due to lack of OS?

When you get that "Retry may be successful", I've found it sometimes helps to just immediately retry.

Try unarchiving/archiving the files before you send them. Did anything during the 2.41 transfer that seemed odd?
It kind of sounds like some of your archive is corrupt, but that's VERY unlikely.

You could try resetting the RAM on your calc? That sometimes helps. Also have you tried sending other programs/apps?

Thanks for the suggestions but the answer was right in front of me. I press the ON button occasionally while it transfers and it works. ^_^

Except me. And Weregoose. And some others who have never had any problems with it.

You might want to try using a different USB port and/or reinstalling the OS.

Me? I like it. I was referring to PhrophetsDementia, and about 1/2 of the TI community.

Oi, I never hated TI-Connect. It's nice and pretty. It just aggravates me sometimes. >_>

I dislike TI-Connect, however, TI Data Editor is nice.

Err, no, the one that came in TI-Connect 1.6 Beta. I downloaded it from Pure, who had it from when it came out, I think. It is available in TI-Connect for macs (stupid prejudice). Nicer interface than Graphlink.

The problem with the Program Editor is that it only saves to the filetype of .TIProgram, which isn't much of a file format at all (try opening it with TextEdit or something).
