Hello, everyone!

Post by b-flat »

Hello, I am b-flat, of Penguin Studios and Outside The Box Programming (OTBP).

I really like the point and item systems here - it encourages you to post, etc.

Now, I need to figure out the formula for gaining points so I am going to make this message extra long :D

The forum looks very nice from what I have seen so far!

I think it's like .75 points for each post, 1 point for starting a topic, and iirc .2 points for every post other people make in your topic.

But what are the points used for? The arcade? :?

Well, now I think it is 0.75 for each post, 1 for starting and 0.15 for each post in a topic you start.

You can buy items with points :)

Muhahaha! I took the last Kirby! And I'd do it again!

Oh. *Ahem* *Cough* Welcome b-flat. Any relation to Slippy or Penguins?

Welcome to the forums b-flat :). We have indeed heard of OTBP, and for those who havent you might want to check out their site and forums here: http://otbp.freehostia.com/ (you might like to place a link in your sig).

The items system is indeed nifty, we have even released preview programs/demos to those who purchase specific items.

We encourage any forum member to come up with new items, there is a public shop and we will be glad to place items in there for you :).

Hey! Where's my Kirby?!!?

Do you get any royalties for having an item approved?

Hrm...how do I put him in my sig? (I'm guessing it's something other than [img=...etc...)

I will put the link in my signature (we are the same group, but our websites are not united, yet), but I haven't had much time.

Also, I think our other website (old Penguin Studios section) is www.urzun.com/ps or something similar to that.

Nope, no relation to Slippy or Penguins that I know of...

@Madskillz: calc84maniac has the best projects because he knows ASM, but IF I ever finish COTOR, it'll be decent.

I'll see if I can get Curious Onlooker (another one of our programmers) to join.

EDIT: Fixed link

OK, this looks like the topic to announce myself. I'm 0xROWDY. I've been a closet asm programmer for quite a while. Recently I decided to get involved in some forums due to my new project. I won't reveal anything about it yet as its nothing exciting yet.
