NiGHTS into Dreams...

Post by NeoScriptor »

Yes, for those of you who don't know, NiGHTS into Dreams is one of the most fun and enjoyable games this side of the Sega Saturn. I've decided to write a port based off of the GBA minigame version. The movement is going to be very tough to program to make it fluid like the real game, especially because I have only recently started learnin ASM. Here are some screenshots in case you've never seen the game:

Google it for more info.
Here are sprites I've completed:

EDIT - This project has been scrapped

That seems like a pretty advanced game, it should be sweet if you can pull it off.

Your sprites are coming along nicely, have you got any animations done?

After thorough consideration, I do not have the time to complete this project. I have plenty of sprites for anyone else who'd like to take it on though. I may do this in Flash instead, so be sure to look out on Newgrounds and Flashplayer.

Yeah, I was gonna say, this seems a bit unrealistic for someone who's just learned ASM. :)

Nonsense, tr1p1ea did just this (desolate) and so did 3fg (SSP). They may haven't both been as difficult as this would be, but they had just learned ASM and were able to complete these...

That’s still the exception, not the rule.

Who said it was :P.

Sorry I forgot about you guys also, but I really would love to see this happen though. If you could post the sprites you have it would be nice, since you may not be active later on?

Awww, your projects didn't fail, they just decided that you had more important things to do so they left you alone! :)
