The map system will be like tinycarz... but the map wont be compatible...
I removed the "video record" buffer, I added position of 8 cars instead of one, and there are special sprites (totally blck as road) to indicate to the IA the speed to go, and the direction to take....

of course, there will be many track to make a championship, and a level editor, so I hope many people too make many maps !!!

This is really cool. I played tinycar a lot on my calc and now there is a new one. Great.

I tried this out on my calculator and it works very nicely. however, I did have some trouble with collisions. Once I was temporarily stuck on top of one of the AI cars. Other than that though, it's a great game. :)

I made a new beta, and it include...... A track editor !!!! (Run under windows, sorry for Linux lovers)
I release the editor before final release to have a good number of tracks for the great day....
So, please, if you enjoyed tinycar, if you like tinycarZ, try the track editor, and create a good one !

The readme will explain you all the step of the creation, even if it isn't really complicated...

Thank you !

Ok,Sorry for this bug... it took times to understand where it came from, as it worked perfectly fine on VTI, but not on calc...
It was due to jump overpage, as tinycarZ size is >8192.... I Think...
But it's been fixed, new version available, no more crash, and a new track :

Sorry again,and enjoy it !

New version (again).. This one may be the final one, because I think all bugs are fixed, and many suggestion were applied.

http://fastrpl.info/membres/kuda/tinycarz_and_track_editor4.zip

Now,
we can pause the game,
go to previous track in level selector,
No more crash if not enought RAM to unarchive level
No more bugs when no level
Letting press enter at the end of the race doesn't select ine different menus

Many options were added:
Can choose number of laps of qualif and race
can change the maximum speed of your car (- / 0 / + )
can change the handeling (rotation speed) of your car (- / 0 / + )
False start detection (- / 0 / + ) : Penality if false start / none / Boost if not fals start

And a nice gfx when you select something ine the main menu...

I hope you'll enjoy it, and please tell me fast if you find any bug !

Thx!

Will you be uploading this to ticalc? I think this would get a feature over the precessor.

For those who are interested in the progress of my work, there is a new version of both game and editor, bugfree (I think)...
http://fastrpl.info/membres/kuda/tinycarz6.zip
I'm now trying to implement a link mode!

link mode? That's great. I can't wait to try it out. Now I just need to find one of my link cables. I've lost like 3 of them now, including one that I bought on ebay for a dollar.

I'll give that new demo a try.

*downloads to laptop and sends to calc*
