Reflex Revolution

Post by CDI »

http://omnimaga.dyndns.org/index.php?showforum=34 is the Omnimaga subforum, right now, the currents are...

-16x16 arrows
-"halfbeat" arrows (look diffrent than normal ones)
-Event Mode with 1 current song (more to come)
-"MISS", "OKAY", and "GOOD" scoring
-"health bar" a'la SMSD but it also has a score.
-B&W title screen
-A few menus
-Credits system
-2 songs (an easy and a hard one)
-Letter grades
AAAA = 100%
AAA = 97.5% - 99.9%
AA = 95% - 97.4%
A = 90% - 94.4%
B = 80% - 89.9%
C = 70% - 79.9%
D = 60% - 69.9%
E = .1% = 59.9%
F = 0%
Here's some progress screenies

FFR:CR3
Image

FFR:CR3, GS title
Image

FFR:CR3, 2 player screen, you vs comp, no comp atm
Image

FFR:CR3, 2 player scree, you and comp playing, comp acually plays too! Some GSness there, like the PBX screen and the small titleness
Image

FFR:xR, name change from Calc Remix 3 to xLIB Remix, 16x16 arrows, easy song if you ask me, speed is really up there too
Image

FFR:xR, 3 engine test, 1st engine is useless, 2nd one a bit too, 3rd one proved to be the best, fun stuff, harder song, MUCH harder...
Image

Reflex Revolution, I know it still sports the FFR garb, but no longer! it is a new game! fun too, still a hard song, but this one has alot of fun things
Image

Reflex Revolution, Now sporting the offical RR garb, yes Kevin said I could use part of the XXR logo
Image

Thanks to Kalan Scallan and Kevin Ouellet for screenies, (I play better than them o.o) kalan got a E :p I can get 100.6% on that song!!!! hahahahaha, fun things :p if you want to D/L the latest beta click on this!!!

Well...I can't really say I enjoy this type of game. It does look cool, though. Don't you have to hear music to play ddr games?
I think, therefore iMac

actually, its not that hard, the dancemat thing...or, i shouldt think it would be...write software to interpret the "buttons" pressed from the mat into the keycode equivalent for the z80 processor or BASIC (whichever one you're doing it in) and send the keycode via link port...or maybe im way off and assuming it'd be something like that.

I think you're right. It shouldn't be that hard. if you had a usb dancemat you could probably make a driver for it for the calcs with the usb plug. If they can make a driver for a usb flash drive, a keyboard, and a mouse, this is probably possible. in fact, I think that someone was able to connect a normal keyboard up through the normal link plug, so, it may even be possible for the 83 series calcs also.

Yup, get Ben's routines, break up an old PS/2 keyboard to make it a DDR mat, and you're set.

Hahaha, that would be so cool, running this on a TI-Presentor calc and having a Dance-Mat accessory :).
