WarioWare?

Post by wasoe »

WarioWare Inc. for the calculator.

In case you haven't played it, it's a collection of fast-paced minigames, and it would be a welcome addition to my calculator (If someone could just make it).

I was thinking of doing a WarioWare game, but I've never played it before. All I've seen are the reviews.

It would need quite a few games to be really interesting, imo

Yeah. A lot of the latest games are allowing external level support, so that might be a way of making a large game list. This was one of jvdthwip's projects, unfortunantly it was discontinued. Odd part is, it looked like it was already underway; he left us with this concept animation:

His game looked really sweet ... just like the Nintendo version. Pity he discontinued it.

Perhaps you could take up this project wasoe? Would be a good way to get into calc programming :).

After giving it some though, I decided to pick up this project for summer 06. It's all preliminary right now, but you can bet we're kicking around a few microgame ideas. So far, the theme is famous calc games so it's looking to pay tribute to all the classics like Mario, Phoenix, Joltima, plus the new games. ASCII-styled games are also a good bet.

I feel really stupid right now, because about a year ago I had a WW style game with 100 minigames (VERY simple, 200-400b each) and I never did anything with them

That game rocks! It was really fun, but I have no clue why, considering that it sounds boring in theory...
Did pacha die? what?

No ! I'm still alive !
I'll explain once more : Deus Makina was an 'internet friend' (ie I did not know him IRL), and he had started this game, but did not finish it because he committed suicide, for a reason I still don't know. I then finished his game.

And btw, I don't know either why this game is addicting, because it's very simple, and could have been boring :)

Aw man, sorry to hear about your friend.

Er...this is awkward. So you already did wario already?

No, he just finished off Paper Plane, which is a really cool game.

I remember when pacHa announced what had happened, was a very sad time.
