Honestly, I think we should switch to a number system based on pi. All important numbers are irrational anyways. Unfortunately this has the side-effect of making other notable numbers, like 1, contrarily irrational.

No matter what number you base your system on (whatever that means), most transcendental numbers will remain transcendental anyway.

Urg, maths, if only it was as simple as saying "PI"
(Maths is fun, but 2 points below the highest grade in Fourier analysis kinda ticks you off...
