I beat them, slightly. I am actually closer to the recommended than the minimum.

This game is so cool! A couple of months ago, I downloaded the 20 minute preview and I almost DIED. It rocked. I heard they are cutting out shadows on inanimate objects though, to keep the system requirements in the realm of the possible. This makes me sad.

Maybe you can change ini settings to reenable that though.

Doubt it. The AI in the demo was so good though, that it may SEEM like multiplayer.

Then I give it 6x12 ingame hours tops before I get bored. :/ But I have found other games that are amazingly awesome that will require me to buy a new system anyway, so I'll give this a try too then. Funds allowing.

Arcane: If you havn't already you should try Morrowind, because Oblivion is a lot like Morrowind, just even more in-depth and beautiful than before. The whole idea of the Elder Scrolls series is to immerse yourself in a massive world that you can explore on your own free will.

Having multiplayer kinda ruins that freedom because often going online has persistant idiots running amuck.

Too true. Sadly that is almost garaunteed with multiplayer online games :S.

Deal with it or /ignore.

But as you may have noticed I said "before I get bored". Morrowind is so boring that I usually end up uninstalling it again after a couple of hours.

Most of game design theory doesn't apply to me, no point in discussing it.
