Animated screenshot of Reuben Quest 2

Post by DJ_O »

I got the game to work in Flash Debugger but the grayscale wasn't working and there is only one contrast level, buyt there is a screenshot anyway:Image
I uploaded the final version at ticalc.org last week so it should come out soon. You will notice that the screenie is kinda messed up (there is missing pixel row and there is some slow down/speed up) but anyway you have a quick overwiew of what's upcoming. :)

Yes, and the Flash Debugger is terrible ... no way is it that bad on calc :).

Since the project is complete I think it would belong in calculator news section :?

btw: anybody know if there is any software that make a motion blur effect with animated gif because Flash Debugger doesn't have it and the game doesn't work in VTI :(

I can imagine how good it must be on the real calc. It's really good with the cutscenes and movie parts....The Core Of Light (a maybe gone RPG) reminds me of it a bit aswell. Renewing.

Yeah I searched for TCOL on google and found its website:

http://wwwhome.cs.utwente.nl/~franssentkc/tcol/

but both download link redirect to the main page and it's not at ticalc.org :(

EDIT: and it's not avaliable in the webarchive too

EDIT 2: There is 140 files waiting for beign added in ticalc.org archives and they didn't added anything since almost one week (I uploaded RQ2 last week). I'll upload it at UnitedTI so you'll be able to play it before its release at ticalc.org.

EDIT 3: It's uploaded now. You can download it here:

Well TCOL is one of the unreleased games I've played. Timendus makes it, he also has an account on this forum. Beg him for a version.

I really see a difference at ticalc.org since Morgan Davies resignated. Lot of news, but only one archives update per week. I looked at the file upload form and it said there is like 140 files pending. At this rate they will reach 500 pending files soon. Basically Trapped and RQ should appear in their archives after Valentine's Day (or Easter?). :?

and what the heck is that arrow emoticon:  ????

Try using CalcCapture, it can capture from pretty much any program, and it works the same as VTI Capture does, it just needs a little bit more setting up.

I did used calccapture for making that screenie, but flash debugger doesn't have motion blur effect at all (like VTI), the game doesn't work on VTI because it doesn't support flash ROM.

I talked to the author (Timendus) a week ago. It seems that the whole game is finished (!) and already sitting on his harddisk for a year or so. The one thing that still needs to be done is the documentation, nothing more! I'm pushing him to write the darn thing. But I think that I, the programmer of Corbin that is even more ill-fated, am not taken seriously in this matter
