I vote for the ti-83+SE: It's fast, efficient, has 128kb of total RAM (96kb isn't used by the TI-OS), has plenty of space, and beats the ti-84 down the ground. (Forever my opinion will be that the ti-84 is the ugliest TI calc made, until TI makes another funky calc)

83:
More RAM to the user, and no 8.8k (or less?) executable code size limit!
AND its cheaper!! :D

Yeah, but you don't need the extra RAM as much on the 83+ because it has ROM. :D
Also, it isn't really that much more expensive :P, only about $20

I would definitely say 83. the 83+ is nice, and was the first calc I had, but I love Venus so much, and lately I've been using the 83 more, and become used to it.

The ti-84+ ugly? It's one of the best-looking calculators i have ever seen! And it has USB.

But have you seen that TI has removed the 83+SE from their comparison charts? They pretend like it never existed to say that the 84+ is way better, even though the 83+SE has more archive.

Why would they remove a calculator from their charts.

TI83 was there first is a pro point, some bit nostalgic. Though the TI83+ promotes the making of big RPGs the 8.8k limit sucks so much I like my TI83 more!

What are you talking about anyway? I have an 83+ and I run programs, basic and z80, that are a LOT bigger than 8.8k.

Yes - you can have data after that, but I've had problems where if you try to run code at the back end of a large program it'll just crash.

ok its not the ugliest ppl, yet the 81 looks much better in my opinion. the ugliest is one of those old ti desk calcs that are extinct. the 83+se is better looking and thats why i have it and not 84+se. i even like the 82+ more than the 84+, and i'm talkin about the 82 original.
apparently ti knos it wasnt makin enough off of 83+ se (if u look at how it looks u'll realize y they swithced to 84+)
