It's slowed down a bit for two reasons:
1) TI-Connect is bitching again, after working for 2 weeks. I now learn it's actually crappy calculator hardware because it happens everytime my 84+ suffers a fall. Now I can't even send updated sprites.
2) Finals comin up, gotta study for finals :?

Checklist
Sprite conversion (Check)
Figuring out xLib
Programming
Damage Formula
Storyline

Now do you think it's progressing fast?

I aint giving up that easily mate :) as for maps I think we'll have to hold off on that for a bit so I can decide how big I want the maps to be (realistically)

Yay finals over, now I gotta slave away on AW :)
Actually right now i'm thinking, if I need to learn how xLib works, it might take some time. If I do the sprites in BASIC, it really won't take that much time to do though it'd be slower (performance wise).
Hmm.. then again, xLib would be more 83+ friendlier...

Go with xlib, it will be easy to use and a lot faster a lot faster. If you need help with it we have a great selection of xlib users, from beginners to advanced :D.

Yeah, but then it can't be very graphic intensive as it would be with xlib because speed plays a important role. You could plan to make it for the 83 eventually.

If you do it without xlib, it will probably run slowly. Very few people have 83's anyway. Almost everyone has either an 83+, SE, or 84 series calc. No one buys 83's anymore. I don't even think there is one person in my high school with one.

Schools own several of them, not that one would spend too much time loading their game onto each and every calc. .
