if someone doesnt have anything to do and wants to program an AWESOME game, they should do N-Game.

it would probebly have to be in asm, but check it out. it rocks my socks off :)

You could eliminate the need for scrolling if you make the sprites and tiles 4x4. The level dimensions would almost be the same as the original.
If someone seriously wanted to do this, I have made a routine for maps with 4x4 tiles and a 4x4 sprite routine with clipping.

If you want to learn ASM contact me and I can make it happen. In 6 weeks you'll be making the sequel to The Verdante Forest.

lol! i doubt it. I don't really have enough time at the moment to learn ASM but i was thinking that around December, when things slow down, I'll sit down and figure it out. so yeah, i'll probably be asking you guys for help around that time :)

katmaster, from the sound of that last post, it ~almost sounds like you're interested in remaking the game (N that is). 8)

I learned ASM fast. 3 weeks to make crappy games. A few more weeks and conversations on IRC to learn optimization and more advanced "theory".
