BomberMan

Post by Spooner »

Yes, I have decided to make a BomberMan with the help of Xlib. Its already in the works and nearly have a working demo to let you play around with. I am not sure what features to have yet but that will come with time. I already have all the sprites done and already have added a sprite change for each direction.

I could only find two copies of this game on ticalc. One being in ASM but only being a multiplayer game. The other one is in basic and is really good but there is so many loading times I gets annoying. If they could have included both of the games together it would have been awesome. I don't think I will be able to add a multiplayer function because it is in basic and I wouldn't even know how to do that.

I would love to have any suggestions for features. I don't think this game is going to take long to code being that I already have a lot of it done. I will try to keep you updated and have a working demo in a week or so.

Thanks,
Spoon

How much bombs are maximum?
Some bonus items:
-PowerBoots to increase your speed
-an extra bomb (if you have implemented a bomb maximum)
-a time fuse: when you push a special button all your bombs on the field explode (and not after a time period)
-invulnerability for a short time
-in a multiplayer game: invisibility for a short time
-just extra points (maybe a money-icon)
-items to increase the reach of your explosions
-a power shield to destroy walls by running through
-Health+ (if you can resist more than one bomb)

Just me two cent,
Nanowar ;)

also, kick power ups would be neat (move into a bomb abd it flies across the screen)
proximity bombs (explode after longer fuse or touched)

and it would be cool if when you actualy had a certain number of uses for certain items/weapons as opposed to just timers

i think you should make it more like the older bombermans for SNES (Super Bomberman 2). So simple, yet so fun!!!

Sorry I have been gone for so long I have been running around everywhere I have so much to do. I am using 8x8 sprites and it will only be single player.
