Why on earth would you want dynamic lighting, shading, and hidden lines anyway? A simple 3D engine like Quake is good enough and plus having only two different "colors" would make it even harder to see.KermMartian wrote:<offtopic reprieve>But do they do dynamic lighting, shading, and hidden lines?Timendus wrote:We've all written Basic 3D engines (or I guess most of us have), and they are all slow and useless. So apart from proving CompWiz right, what exactly are you trying to say?KermMartian wrote:http://www.cemetech.net/news.php?151

That's all BASIC, btw.

This is quite impressive, can't wait to see what it will do

Actually, it uses dither shading.currahee wrote:Why on earth would you want dynamic lighting, shading, and hidden lines anyway? Flatter? Like more drained? Umm, kind of, as I use my batteries till the calc no longer turns on.....benryves wrote:Have you tried using flatter batteries?katmaster wrote:It says it doesn't work for the normal 83+....which is what i have. So no, I don't think so. Sorry for being off topic, but it's importent.

Do you think I care if it uses dither shading?KermMartian wrote:Actually, it uses dither shading.currahee wrote:Why on earth would you want dynamic lighting, shading, and hidden lines anyway? Don't get me wrong, it's just weird that you spend THAT much time on calcs when you could be doing some advanced programming on the comp.
Necro, I'm sure you have a brain. Please post something more intelligent here:
"Not long ago, the Black Gate of Armonk swung open. The lights went out, my skin crawled, and dogs began to howl. I asked my neighbor what it was and he said, 'Those are the nazgul. Once they were human, now they are IBM's lawyers.'"
no like sarcasm? Fine...
The Meaning of Life:
We were all placed here by coincodence and our only purpose is to find a purpose within ourselves...regardless of what every one else thinks. Your purpose may be grand, wicked, or very simple...but all you can do is either run with it or from it...so dont feel lost but feel found...found within yourself...intelligent enough?
If kerm wants to play with calcs, that is his right and buisness...if he wants to code ascii polyginal masterpieces...also his buisness...if he wants to make computer programs...again, his choice, his purpose. Find your own purpose now and run with it (my purpose right now seems to be to post off topicly)

YAD (yet another demo)
I've been playing around with some camera stuff and thought I'd put it up here.
It's the bouncing cubes again, except this time it's a bit more interactive. Use the arrow keys to rotate the camera and plus and minus to move forwards/backwards.
A few points:
1) The way the arrow keys rotate the object may seem weird. It's because I'm lazy.
2) No polygon clipping yet - objects are just culled if they intersect the frustum planes.
3) There may still be a bug or two. I had some problems but I think they're fixed now, but don't run this on a real calc if you can't afford a RAM clear
You can download it here (83+ only this time).
