I don't mean write games to play yourself, I mean write things that you see as interesting, or that will keep you entertained through the process. So if my choices were between a project that was fun for me to write, and made me think about new ideas, or something that others wanted but bored me, I would chose the interesting project.benryves wrote:Rubbish. I never play any of the stuff I wrote myself, and I certainly didn't enjoy working on a lot of it.blueskies wrote:Where's the "Make whatever you want to make" option? I would think that you'd enjoy all the things you work on Ben. You put out some amazing work. [prediction] If you enter the programming contest, you are going to blow us all away. With Monochromatic under your belt, you're way ahead of everyone else. [/prediction]

o_O What's wrong with you? I play Dr. Snipe all the time! Even 'spengo race' in it's unfinished form gets some attention. I write my games because I want to play them. Do you know I still haven't completely beaten one of my old games 'Destructorama 2' all the way? I've beaten the levels all seperately but not all together. I think I made it too hard >_<. In fact, I've never even beaten one of my first games ever, 'Black Falcon' without the cheats.
*note: neither of these games were ever published publicly, so you can't get them. ;_;
bananas... o.o

Don't argue with Ben... it's his 'belief' ... I won't say anything, but he has his reason not to have fun when programming
ARGH!!! MAKE UP YOUR MINDWe need some more votes for the tic tac toe game, I gotta have an awsome tic tac toe game. Anyone can do grai scale (yes I'm spelling it with an I). Good mono graphics can set you appart from the rest. Then when it comes time to make a grey game you'll be all the more prepared.
