If you're looking for a free mail client, Windows Live Mail (updated version of Vista's built-in mail client) is pretty good - download - and doesn't mangle my IMAP mail accounts like Thunderbird does (naturally, being a Live product, it also works with Hotmail/Live Mail, but I don't use Hotmail so can't pass any comment on its quality).

I have a hotmail address to use on spammy sites: it works pretty well with Hotmail too ( =have not had any problem in about half a year, which is no proof.. but still)

I don't believe it!

It marked my own email as SPAM! (though it was coming from the vera_dev googlegroup...)

For those who don't speak the elusive language dutch:

Afzender: sender, right?
Occasionally, Windows Live mail thinks an email from the vera group is spam as well, but it seems completely random..

It's quite common for spam to be sent from your own email address (you can put anything you like in the headers), so chances are if you receive a piece of email from yourself it's quite likely to be junk.

Unless you sent it with the same POP/IMAP client, and it's still got the same message in it's "sent mail"...
