By the way, 'I'm in a battle of the bands' next saterday, if I end up recording audio or video I'll post it here.
This here wtfowns all the silly teenage-voiced pop-rock blink182 copycats posted in this thread.
Yeah because ska is such pop-rock.
1) If "all the .. in this thread" doesn't apply to ska then a statement regarding "all the .. in this thread" doesn't apply to it.
2) it certainly applied to the vocals of the ska posted in this thread.
Asylum for the Angels is pretty good (punk rock+alternative), and they play some originals, but they still haven't posted any of their music on their website. I was the camera guy at a concert they were in on Friday though.
Almost all bands do some instrumental stuff, but then you have to figure out what is and what isn't instrumental and you can't exactly look forwrad to more of the same (just have to be lucky more or less).
Too bad it's pretty much impossible to filter out vocals from a wave stream without disturbing the instrumentals a lot.
Maybe there are bands who release files with all the tracks in the mix still seperate?
I have all of Led Zeppelin on CD somewhere with the individual bass, drums, guitar and vocals filtered, my freind did it a while ago and copied it for me. Also, while it does have lyrics you may be interested in Yes.
