FastRPL and its Devs

Post by Comikal »

Hey, some of you might remember me from a LONG time ago. I made a relatively crappy DDR sim in FastRPL. Since I don't speak or understand French, I was wondering if someone could bug the developers for its source. Their website is http://fastrpl.info . I'd greatly appreciate any efforts.

Oh. From my past experiences, his English was somewhat limited and my French was nearly nonexistent.
Thanks for the reply, I'll see if I can contact him or McBeach.

I always wondered why FastRPL never took off like wildfire, it is pretty snazzy imo. I also dont think you will have much trouble communicating with Kuda ... his English seems to be just fine.

Yeah, however, they stopped working on FastRPL a little over a year ago. If they never continue, then I will finish writing my guide for it and try to spread more publicity about it.

It is awesome and easy to understand once you get a hold of things, but the size of App is like 6 or more pages *gasp*. But it is a achievement non the less, and I would expect it to be as big seeing what it needs to do.

Image IMO, it would be more popular if the guide wasn't in French...

I have it installed, and have tried to create some programs for it, but I get stuck very easily since I don't yet understand the language... but the fact that it backups your program so that you have to save changes is AWESOME in itself... if anyone writes a guide in English, i would greatly appreciate it. :)

Not all of the site is in English. In fact, the part I need to understand the stuff the devs do in their programs is in mostly French.

I looked too, the only part that is in english is the part that describes how to do mathematics in RPN and dealing with the number stack in that way.

Altavista babelfish might do a better job. Of course sometimes it translates things that it shouldn't.

I wouldn't trust the translations enough, and it sometimes makes it hard to understand...
How about getting a native speaker to translate for us?
I think, therefore iMac
