"Hey, do you wanna be my homecoming date?"

What do you know her from?

Is that a euphemism? If not, I have no idea what you mean by that.

Whatever you do, just don't give her an iPod.

How exactly is that an issue? Is it too far to walk, if you need to catch her at her locker?

I think he's saying that either it would be awkward because she would figure something was up when he didn't go to his locker but instead followed her to hers or that he needs to go to his locker before his next class and would thus have a date to homecoming but no materials for class.

Like, seriously, I think most girls realize that it's awkward on a guy. Try not to make a big deal out of it. Start off the conversation (or interject somewhere in the middle) by saying something along the lines of "So...do you have a date to homecoming?" and if/when she says no, "Would you like to go with me?" That way, it doesn't have to be so formal, and it still gets the basic job done.

Good luck!

Just act yourself, stay calm. What is the worse she can do? Say no, that's it. Don't ignore her either after (if she says no), other wise you will feel like an idiot and look like a jerk.

To continue with being funny say:

Code: Select all

You: "All your base belong to us"
Her: "What???"
You: "Would you like to go with me to homecomeing?"
Her: "Ok!"
Set the time and where she lives, do not wait too late as she might be taken (someone else asks her), or made other plans.

Just play it normal and ask normally. The longer you wait the more nervous you will become, really.

Just catch her one day, probably after school is the best, and ask her.

If she already has a date or says no, its not the end of the world, though it sucks.
