Neither. bittorrent for the win, as THAT ACTUALLY HAS A TEXT-MODE VERSION. I don't need all the fancy crud that GUI-based ones have. I want to run my torrents out of sight and out of mind, goddammit. I don't have a GUI on my router, nor does it have the RAM for even a bare-bones one with just a VNC-X server, so bittorrent-curses works fine for me.threefingeredguy wrote:Azureus or uTorrent?
I'd rather die than use C# again, and I don't know enough C++ yet. Regardless I'd say Java because it's better than either of them.King Harold wrote:C++ or C# if you had to choose?
Or (recurring joke I've been doing the past couple of days), just use ADD 1 TO COBOL GIVING COBOL.
Battery life or performance (for a laptop)?

BitTornado for text-mode (= no gui bugs yay) and being better than bittorent.Andy_J wrote:Neither. bittorrent for the win, as THAT ACTUALLY HAS A TEXT-MODE VERSION. performance. I don't like it when companies make things smaller, slower(or otherwise inferior), and more expensive. [cough]apple[/cough] I'd rather not have a slow, small laptop that has more battery life. There are plenty of electrical outlets around. As long as I get a fairly decent amount of battery life(say an hour or so) I'm ok with it.
also, I did ask almost the same question a page or two ago.
Sun or IBM cpu's?
