Simply put, im back. got past the BIOS password my parents installed, so now i can get on any time i want. Took me so long to do it cos I thought i'd come back the legit way (get a job), but it just wasnt a possibility. So yeah. I know no one really cares, but just thought you oughta know.

BIOS passwords are not that difficult to get around, just open up the PC either set the 'Clear CMOS' jumper or take the motherboard battery out for a while :).

I think a linux live cd with tools to do all that stuff for you is a lot less invasive (and destructive) and still makes you look like a leet haxxor.

Get a 64 MB+ USB Flash thingy , and install http://www.damnsmalllinux.org/ on that!

You dont even need a CDROM drive, and it has all you need =D

I'm talking about ways to get into windows without being allowed to, not ways of replacing windows..

Like

http://trinityhome.org/Home/index.php?w ... ront_id=12

or

http://ophcrack.sourceforge.net

Damn usefull if you forgot your password, or managed to disable all your windows accounts by accident. (woops)

I've never really seen the point of these "Live Linux recovery CDs", seeing as Windows comes with one that is perfectly capable of basic system fixing.
