Very impressive work, especially for an entirely BASIC effort.

How did you go in the contest?

it has not. A Stratego AI in Basic would consume massive memory and be unbearably slow.

Is checkers not considered stratego? One of the contest entries had AI. Maybe I just don't understand stratego?

Checkers and Stratego are most definitely not the same thing. If anything, Stratego is more like chess, but thats stretching it a little. I suggest you visit Ed's Stratego Site.

could have been sarcasm, but I couldn't figure out why you would have been sarcastic unless the link was unhelpful, so i was just attempting to tell if it was sarcasm (which is a lot harder with text only)
