Looks like a good enough electric guitar for the price, and to learn playing (and I can know because I play the guitar myself). But you should get a small, cheap practice amp. Preferably of the brands Fender, Marshall, Behringer, Crate or Peavey. And if you go buy it in a music store, be sure to test it (preferably with your guitar) so you can hear if it sounds well.
for amps i say just get a little practice amp, like the one that comes with guitar value sets. those can go very loud. if you wanna play like rock or whatever make sure ur amp has a "distortion" or "gain" function, treble, and bass. there are more optional things for the amp but this is good enough.
the guitar though, unless u know the company who made it, you relly never know if yourre getting a good deal. all comanies make guitars differently, like fender makes the neck and body seperate and screws them together, and some other companies make the whole thing at one time and that really has something to do with the sound. that guitar looks just like 2 of the guitars ive had, the black and white one i have now(the NEW fender starcaster), and my first guitar (the fender squier strat). but you never know if you get a cheap guitar or not. by looking at the auction, it seems that the person makes guitars and uses ebay to sell them. i say since this is your first guitar youre probably not gonna keep it your whole life so go for it, and if you got a good buy lucky you.

I'm going to give you some links to ebay buys which look good to me, quality <-> price, if i say u should bid, bid for the one which is the cheapest by the end of the bidding time (bidding shouldn't have stopped yet but almost):
http://cgi.ebay.com/FENDER-1357-TONEMAS ... dZViewItem -> This is a SUPER DUPER FANTASTIC buy! Well of course people have to bid on it yet, so bid at the last moment.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Fender-Hot-Rod-Devi ... dZViewItem -> Now this is one heck of an amp too, don't do buyout for sure, because it'll probably be less for bid at the end, same recommendation as for the tonemaster: bid at the last moment.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Fender-Deluxe-112-P ... dZViewItem -> Same as the others, bid at the last moment.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Fender-Frontman-15g ... dZViewItem -> All the others before this one are large, not-beginner amps, this one is a beginner amp and is even at a good price at buy out, but if its a lower price by almost end of bidding time, bid on it, else, when the price is almost (or already) going over the buy out, do buy out.
I think this is a sufficient amount of amps you could pick from, they are all good ones, but for a beginner, and especially if you don't want to pay much, you should pick the last one, if you want to spend some money for a better one, get one of the other ones. It is quite a coincidence that they're all Fenders eh Best price <-> quality at the time that i found them

Hmm wait a moment... Does it automatically re-bid? If it doesn't and u get outbid, and it goes over $ 65, u shouldn't bid again, since it has $ 15 shipping costs, u can get that amp online on Musician's Friend or ZZounds for $ 79 without shipping costs (if u get extra stuff like a bag or a tuner for $ 20 yet). So if you buy for min. $ 99 u get free shipping, and u'll have some extra needed stuff. ( http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=h ... id/480667/ )

The last one is signifacntly inferior to all the other ones the_unknown_one mentioned, just to let you know. However, I don't know your price range. IF you want to spend $60 or so you could get a better amp brand new.

Most of these are as good (many of them better) as the Fender 15G.

Yes the last one is the least good one, the others are WAY better, but they'll probably cost WAY more too. And it's true, u can get better ones new online. But keep in mind, he's a beginner, he doesn't need a big amp yet. Of the links you gave, the 2nd and 4th are NOT better, though. If you want to buy one of these, get either the 1st or the 3rd one. And I'd recommend to take the 1st one because it's 15 W (the Marshall one is 10 W) and it's a tube amp, which generally give a much better sound. But if you don't get outbid, it'll be good too, because the FM 15G is a good amp, and it'll be a lot cheaper than buying the tube amp.
