I was thinking a flashlight 'cone' could be drawn on a buffer, invert the buffer and aply so many levels of gray darker onto the area outside of the flashlight's 'cone'

What would be realy nice to have is a single button press to rotate the camera 90 degrees to alow you to see easily where ever you wanted, if there were multiple flashlights (each using a diffrent batteries, and brightnesses) and you carry a supply of batteries...and die if your light goes out completely of course... as well as wepons with clips and a atache case invintory (set of boxes to put the guns/meds/amo/batteries, ect inside of.)
A dodge button would also be neat to implement-

Yeah would be a cool idea and your avatar is cool, but I cant seems to understand what it represent actyually. What does it represent?

Flash light Idea is a nice affect. Though could be hard to implement but still would be nice.

I like the dark style.
