I too forgot to convey my liking of chip music from old school games and of course from demos and intros.

Sometimes i listen to SLAY Radio (www.slayradio.org) and just stream music for hours. (I also think that the Yoda intermission is funny :)).

I've been expanding my taste in music a bit recently, so I've got a farily varied list:

A Perfect Circle (13th Step)
Audioslave
Blind Guardian (particularly A Night At The Opera)
Chevelle
Cold
Demon Hunter
The Dillinger Escape Plan (especially Irony Is A Dead Scene)
Disturbed
Dream Theater
Franz Liszt
Chopin (everything and anything by him)
Jimmy Eat World
Petrucci's solo stuff (Suspended Animation)
Lamb Of God
Project 86
Rachmaninoff
Seether
Shinedown
Slayer's 'Reign in Blood' CD
Soulfly
System Of A Down
Zao

...oh, and Day 16: Loser by Ayreon...it's hard to beat Townsend at the end of that song

...video game music,
The Pillows, Le Arc En Ciel
JPOP
Alt Rock, Techno, House... and more later.
Currently coming up with a new signature idea... since my forum avatar changer was killed by an upgrade...

Kevin wrote:I mostly like Happy Hardcore, Euro and Trance, which are division of the Techno genre. Happy hardcore is like trance/techno but instead of going at 135 BPM it go at 170 BPM, Euro is like Dance/Trance but with lyrics and Trance is like techno but more melodic (not only percussions).
Woo.

I don't like songs with lyrics because I can never make them out. And if I was following the story they were singing I wouldn't be able to do any work or concentrate in games. Sometimes a song on the hardcore channel does have lyrics (usually talking about Bad stuff) so I just switch to dj mixes for a bit.
