Font size!

Post by kv83 »

Hello,

as you may noticed the use of the small font size option is raised in the last couple of weeks. As mods we find it most irritating, because we have to scan every single post to keep it more or less clean around here. Also we can imagine that it's irritating other members.

At the moment we are not aware of a fix to prevent the use of the size tag. Further more we are convinced that everyone will cooperate if asked. Therefore we suggest that the following sizes may be used.:
Allowed sizes wrote: :yes:Font size 18 (large)
:yes:Font size 17
:yes:Font size 16
:yes:Font size 15
:yes:Font size 14
:yes:Font size 13 (normal)
:yes:Font size 12
:yes:Font size 11
:yes:Font size 10
:yes:Font size 9 (small)
All other sizes may not be used. Examples of not valide sizes are
here:
Example of non allowed wrote: :no:Font size 24
:no:Font size 7 (tiny)
Members who use a another font size than stated above will be warned and the post will be edited or deleted. If the warning is not enough, and the member will use anoter size again, other measurements will be used.

I hope everyone understands our decision.

The FAQ for new members has been updated.

Sincerely,

Thank you kv for finally saying something about this. It was getting really out of hand, and very annoying.

*editted by patori*CK U... no no no sry that's not what I wanted to say  well that's fine now because recently I noticed an abuse of small fonts (I see them in every posts). Having to read ONE post by quoting it is ok but having to read 10 of them in a row is very annoying after a while :P

would it be possible to mod the forum code to limit font size between 9 and 18? :)

I never thought it was such a big deal, if the person had something tosay they would do it in large font. Other wise just delete that text. But I could see the annoyances when done like 20 times.

If someone sees where there's small text, please PM me and I'll fix it for ya guys.... the emphasis on whisper can still be there, but at least it will be readable...

As said, there is no fix available at the moment, and further more, we expect everyone to follow this to keep this board nice for everyone :)

Actually, kv, there MUST be a way to mod the forum to limit it since it has limits already in place... You just need to find where it does than and change it. As fdor reading the small fonts, it's not so much that my screen is large as it is that it's crisp.
