Well, that comes from apparantly 12GB data transfer we never had (even the traffic-overview in the control panel says so). Mailed them couple of times, but they are apparantly to good to answer. So I say; fuck them. "So long suckers!". Cya!

Now, do you guys have any good and cheap hosting-companies in mind?

http://future-webdiensten.nl/

They gave me a free site with unlimited bandwidth and stuff, so the least i can do is give their link now ;)

But really, they are pretty good with uptime, quite fast, Dutch and as far as I can tell not that expensive.

12GB transfer? Wtf?! Thats bs!

Is tengun priced in usd?

I found some interesting hosts:

http://www.site5.com/hosting/
http://www.siteflip.com/cheap-domain-hosting/
http://bizarre-host.com/shared/plans.php
http://www.siteflip.com/cheap-domain-hosting/

Ben, im assuming the price range is 'cheap as possible' :).

yes, it's prices in usd. I'll look into the sites you posted, though it would be neater if someone had also experience with those companies... tengun was pretty shitty which caused us a lot of trouble :)

@benryves; about 2$ per month for about 2GB data-traffic

That's per year, not month. It's only ~2eu per month..

I use www.webhostingbuzz.com. During the summer I had patchy uptime and was ready to cancel, but they moved me to another server and it's been pretty much perfect ever since. You have to provide your own domain name, but with hosting of $3-5/mo, it's a really good deal.

Which still expensive compared to other prices, like those tr1p posted (about 5$ a year)... we pay now about euro 1.60 per month.

I wouldn't say 2eu a month is expensive, compared to what jon pays for the uti server..

Hey i think the mini package from: http://www.webhostingbuzz.com./hosting/shared.html is a great deal! $3 a month is almost as good as tengun, but they certainly appear to be of more value.

godaddy.com, perhaps?
I haven't done any looking around, but that's what my family uses for email domain stuff, but I get to use it for web stuff. Haven't had a problem with it yet.
I think, therefore iMac

godaddy for hosting? You seem to have it in for MC don't you.

Dreamhost is good in my opinion, They don't seem to care about little sites like ours. Even when we were hit by the digg effect our site didn't even chug a little. Quite insatiable.

200gb of storage, 2 tb of bandwidth, first year like 14 bucks or something. Just let Tr1p do it since you had them before.

DreamHost is nice indeed, but 8$/month is a little over the top, even the first year is about 14$... I don't want to change servers in a year again, ya know?

@anykey; godaddy.com is nice for domain, but i don't see me using it for webservice...

@leofox; compared what we pay now it's expensive. compared to what blizzard pays for their servers it's not. ;) I guess it depends on your needs how much you'll pay, and I guess UTI has more traffic and stuff.

@tr1p; that package looks ok. 3$ for 1.2TB of datatransfer seems like a fair deal.

Anybody else has some idea's? :)

UTI hosts their own.

I believe 1and1.com is supposed to be pretty good. 500 GB/mo, for only $5/mo.
