don't you think it looks better without the white background? And also, why are you using jpeg? do you really think something that small needs lossy compression? In fact, the png version only takes up 234 bytes, while your lossy-compressed jpeg takes up 595 bytes, more than twice as much. So, you have lower visual quality, and also bigger size. :P

Here is the better, "transparent" background version in the nice, lossless png compression, sporting less than half of the size of your jpeg.

What's wrong with my own grayscale ports that even have highlightings and other corrections emplaced into them to correct graphical differences between the coloured and grayscale versions? :<

The source files for these have half a dozen layers for a reason you know. :P

yes...but it was just a quick cleanup...I said I only worked on it...as for visual quality. It is four-level greyscale, I'm not gonna lose a whole heck of a lot dont you think? I made this with calcgs and then exported it as a bitmap...I just used a bitmap->jpeg converter that I happened to have on my desktop. Really if I was all that serious I would have made it a .png but as I said I used what I had with me at the time and as I stated earlier, it was just a cleaned up version...:)

I think it took all of what 2 min? I liked the troll alot Arcane, I just thought it lost a bit of quality with the black background and yes the white as well Comp!

Arcane, none of the pictures you posted are showing up for me. Is there some server down or something? It was working yesterday.

Hmm, your items will be the first ones without animation. I wonder how they'll sell.
