If I can talk my friend into it, we can get at least a character on-screen moving without too much trouble. He's really good at decoding old games physics by the pixel and all, so it will be guaranteed accurate if it gets up. I don't have the time to go all out on something like that because (1) I'm still learning, and (2) I have the pokemon project goinng at the moment, pretty much full steam ahead.
I'm not mad, just a little crazy.

DarkNova - a little side project I run.

If you're wanting a head-start on graphics, tr1p1ea did a sprite demo that involved some awesome Kirby & Kirby Level artwork.

Wow, that looks very impressive! I think that is great for a z80 kirby (reminds me of mario).

I'd like to pick this one up, but unless someone else did all the graphics, I'd be too swamped to do it.

Well I think a Kirby prog would be a gaming goldmine. Maybe I could pick this one up (with some graphics help). It's got enough similarities to the Sonic project to do both simultaneously; and luckily, I still have it on my oldschool gameboy.

digi, you come look me up when you want the graphics, I have some enemies, a full set of kirby movements (no more looking evil when he flys tr1p! ), tiles, and a titlescreen. (Which I wouldnt mind changing) I worked on a little greyscale demo earlier, like back when this thread just started and spencer didnt think kirby would be possible in greyscale. I wanted to see if I could prove him wrong. I have the jumping, scrolling done. Gotta work on flying but couldnt that be done if I just modified my jumping routine? That would be simple enough...hmm

Sure. Just when he's flying, (1) don't let him fall as fast, and then when he's jumping mid-flight (2) Don't make the jump nearly as ... well ... exciting.
