What's 2.5D? Like Wolf3D since it looked 3D but you could only manipulate in 2?

Yep.

I'm not sure where the line between 2.5D and 3D is, like we could use OpenGL to draw a Wolf3D world or we could fake 3D a whole lot and allow many levels in the Y direction for walking above others ala the Build engine (added this totally unnecessary text just not to make a 1-word post).

So can someone actually do it?

Can someone actually do it? I think its a real good idea. Plus, I know a lot of people at school who'd love to see this.
Truly great madness cannot be achieved without significant intelligence.

That would be a great idea! If someone could do it in C for the 89Ti, that'd be awesome!

Ah, that would be because That_One_Guy uses my old AIM name. I should change that...he's an old friend of mine.

I agree, you have an 89 ti now, so you can definitely take up TIGCC. It's not bad, and if you have lots of comoputer programming experience, you'll learn faster than me (i'm so slow and stupid).

I also heard the FAT engine does a lot of the rendering stuff for you, so you mainly need to focus on the mapping and data manipulation parts.

I'd try, but I'm being consumed by DEM.
