Making RealSound play directly from USB connected flash disk

Post by King Harold »

The title is really self-explainatory, make RealSound play directly from USB connected flash disks :)
Seems like a good idea to me (i know a thing like this exists, but its cooler to do it with your calc no?)
Not a job for me though, I'll leave this to better programmers, after, its just an idea :P

I believe Jim e has said this is possible, but I do not know whether or not it has been done.

I've already done it, a while ago. I was going to incorporated into msd8x, but it would be more practical to make it its own app, and allow other apps to use it.

Side note Ive also got it play video and sound together.

I shot a video of this, but I don't feel like posting.

Oh how wonderful it would be if two threads meant you had twice as much CPU power. :)

I didn't know if I was allowed to mention this yet or not, so I just posted that it was possible.

Might I add that it's really awesome and that I hope he went back to the first type of interlacing on the video. The second looked a lot worse.
