WabbitDS - Wabbits just keep multiplying!!!

Post by Jim e »

A windows emulator wasn't enough, I had to bring the Wabbit name to the DS platform. I've had quite a bit of fun making this and I'm fairly satisfied with where its at now.

Currently it features:
  • ROM\8xu loading
  • Rewinding\Fast Forwarding
  • Rotatable Interface (ie portrait mode)
  • Touchscreen Interface
  • Disassembler
  • Key Configuration
  • Sleep Mode
  • Fast Application Loading
  • Perfect Gray Scale for Gaming
Source is included. Please give me Feed back on any issue you think there may be.

Amazing work... I've been checking the svn since a few days, it is really impressive for such a short amount of development time.

One request: it would be great to be able to remap the L and R keys. I'd like to play Gemini or zDoom with L and R as straffing keys :)

woot!!! congrats for the release!

GuillaumeH: that's a good idea. i always found strafeing to be a bit out of reach on the calc.

I've tested WabbitDS on my DS with a M3 Perfect CF and there's no problem, it work without any patch :)

Great work :D

Did you just load the folder straight to the flash card?

Not exactly, I've copy 'WabbitDS.nds' and my TI 83+ ROM on my flash card (with some TI 83+ programs). I've not tested 'WabbitDS.ds.gba' yet, but if you want I can try it.

Are you patching with DLDI?

No, it works without DLDI (it's not necessary to patch it with DLDI or M3 Game Manager).

Top job Jim! This will be amazingly useful and im betting it will help bring calc games to those that have 'moved on' or whatever. People with DS's will be able to play Zelda ;).

You're joking, right? You've got two color 256 x 192 LCDs, one of which is a touchscreen, two ARMs at 33MHz and 66MHz, and 4 MB of RAM,[1] and you want to run that on a monochrom 96 x 64 LCD, a 15MHz Z80, and 128 KB of RAM? Nevermind the fact that DS games can be as large as 256 MB when we've got less than 2 MB of ROM...
