This is nice. Having all these beautiful screenshots in one place is convienient.

I think these really deserve at least one more "these look amazing" comment. :)

he's not going to have a fire spell in the final game, so he doesn't need masking for it. It was just a demonstration of the spellcasting system. the real spells will be masked.

You knoe that those graphics are near impossible in a game? you have save all graphics as bitmap... and believe me, there a alot :O

Yeah, how incredible would it be if the game was capable of having those kinds of graphics? It would be awesome for the small amount of play-time :).

Still, i think even with tiles you can still somewhat recreate the beauty of this game. L4E_WakaMol-King has shown us this with the titlescreen and that tree whih i love so much :).

Fate by Fire was more a MaxCoderz project to be honest. Both graphic artist and programmer were member of MaxCoderz :) ... But don't count on a release

Yeah its a pity Cyan seems to have moved on from Calc related stuff. Shame as he is awesome.

yeah, that game could have been awesome. Smooth scrolling, beautiful greyscale, interesting gameplay...

oh well. Anyone want to pick it up?

Is the source lying around anywhere? Even just the graphics will do. I could make a small walking demo ...
