Paul, some people have made some great games in GM. And as far as necro making necroposts, it isn't bad really as it might spark some interest into the person(s) developing it.

I mean, an easy way to make games without learning a programming language. Don't bash gamemaker unless there is something better out there.

again, I wouldn't necropost if there were more discussion in general...and I am kinda hoping to respark intrest in projects I think have potential when I do it. That said, game maker doesn't work off of windows and it is a bit slow but it is great for prototyping alphas and betas of games as you don't ever have to compile, you can quickly drop in a bit of code, etc. If you want an example, my alpha demos of combat ball.
