o.o that's just beautiful!

That'd make a nice screen saver :)

Thanks, I was considering making it my avitar on revsoft or uti (I can't remember if uti allows animated avis or not). The picture that made it is a really simple picture I made by graphing lines. I'll post it if anyone wants it.

Thats awesome, almost fractal like! Im in the process of adding speed controls, but its really giving me some headaches for something so simple :S.

Here is a screenie of a snail! (wrapping test :)):

Yeah speed control would be nice also. It's almost too fast on my 84 (I'ts more intersting to watch the screen shot because you can see the detail better). A frame by frame would be nice. I remember the original was slower and the screen held less squares so its really cool you got it going as fast as you did.

That's cool, tr1p1ea :) Works really nicely and very fast!

Would it be too much effort to have a switch to disable wrapping? (Depending on how heavily optimised the edge cases are, that is). The glider gun eventually shoots itself otherwise...

(The lack of an apostrophe in the description or on the title screen bothers me, though). ;)

Top work!

No apostrophe in the description? Okay, that's been fixed.

Also it bothers me on the title screen too, but there isnt as much room as i had hoped. I think ill jam it in there wanyway (i knew someone would bring it up :P).

Well i guess i could include an option for no wrapping ... but bare in mine, it would increase the file size as i would need to duplicate the conway's routine.

EDIT - okay fixed the titlescreen:

EDIT - *Slaps himself* -- "Me being the SMC over-user that i am, i can just modify a few instructions to easily toggle wrapping :).

Quote from the Metroid forums that suites this cause:
It's out it's out people OMG this is soo Fricken cooooool AHHHHHHHH Whoooo hooooooo fricken awsome.......
One final feature you should have is the ability to use the program created picture as a screen saver, although it already is one, isn't it?

84+se 2.41

Works fine, well, great actually. Some nice things are pretty much what's already been said, in game editor, wrap on/off, speed control.
Also, though, if there were some way to change the bound, like, instead of the whole pic, I jsut want a 50x50 square, something like that. And maybe custom cell sizes, like, I don't want a pixel to be a cell, but a 3x3 box?

Glad it works fine, and wrapping and speed controls are almost there ... but err there are some features that i am just not going to implement. Im afraid i am basically done with this and dont want to spend a whole lot of time writing PIC editors and such. Also Merthsoft, your last few requests would require complete rewrites of the program, which is just not something i am prepared to do im afraid ...

Wow tr1p1ea this is a cool program and seems great for how much it has to do and it still runs fast!

Okay, i added speed control and toggleable wrapping.

Controls:
---------

Menu:
-----
Keypad 0-9: PIC variable number
2nd: Start
Clear: Quit

In-Game:
--------
Clear: Return to Menu
Alpha: Change speed
Math: Toggle Wrapping On/Off

Download via: http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fi ... 39705.html

Please note that i really dont feel like adding anything to this anymore (not now at least). I would appreciate a few tests just to make sure there arent any bugs, then i can upload it to ticalc.org :).

*What i might do however is compile an image pack that has a lot of cool conway examples, if you guys have any cool designs and want them in such a pack, just let me know :)*
