I'm thinking about splitting the map into four parts, so each would only be taking 2916 bytes during the program instead of a daunting 11664.

Just the size of the slime. The way I setup the gui/hud for battles could also allow for graphical backgrounds, but I'm not sure about that just yet.

Would it be using pics or drawing of lines/pixels?
