xLib Banner Logo

Post by Captain_America »

I am making a html version of the xLib manual for extra credit in a class (No I don't wan't help on it, thanks anyway though), and I would like to make a decent looking banner that represents xLib. I am not very good at graphics myself, so any help would be appreciated. If you make the banner you will be accredited in the document on the site.
Thanks

Cap'n

There is a plain base xLIB logo that you can modify for use with your stuff:

Yes it is very ugly, thats because it is a base logo :). You will have to resize/recolour it to suit your needs :).

Woops. Yah I need help on the banner, but do not wish to have help on the readme. And banner should be like 600x100 I'd reckon, and any colors you feel make it look nice.

Heh, thanks, I used a font I like, pixelated in 4-pixel squares, converted to 1-bit color, selected all, grow 1, fill white, grow one, fill black. Then I selected all the inner black, gradient faded to transparency, made a masked layer behind the text, and rendered a graph pattern in blue in it. Voila.

I like tr1p1ea's. Do you thin you could have xLib to the left then on the right maybe just a short sentence of what it does and your name under it.
Anyone else that has anything they want to submit, i would still love to check out your work.

I like kerms version ,it has the black and white feel of the calc, and looks more clean.

Wow, thanks everyone. Captain_America: don't you think a description of what xLib does and the author's name would be better suited to text underneath the banner?

I don't really know how to describe what I want to say. So I will just say nothing:). And tr1p1ea, do you mind if I put your name on it?
Edit: I'll make this a poll that ends next week. So all submissions should be in by then. If only I could figure out how to add the poll xD.
