Wright Studios Graphic Archive

Post by ninja_master »

Hey guys! Have you ever been looking for a sprite and never found it. Well no more! Wright Studio is making a sprite archive so that anyone can get any sprite they need at any time. If you want to visit the archive go here, http://wrightstudio.org/graphicsarchives.aspx. If you want to help make the archive bigger and stronger you can submit a sprite here. http://wrightstudio.jconserv.net/viewtopic.php?p=11#11. Just follow the directions and everything will work out fine. Lets make this an awesome archive. sprites can be any size that can fit on a calculator. They can be black and white, greyscale, or color, so let your imagination run wild. Wright studio reserves the right to reject any submissions. Give me feedback on this and help the community get better! :D

Thanks Dark Auron, I was got them from there but when I put them on my site I couldn't figure out who made them. I'll switch it right away.

I like this place, though they are mostly color but you can convert to GS with most of them easily.

Sometimes when I need a sprite I will google "fire sprite" in images and I find a great sprite sheet and sometimes a good site.

I was trying to do something similar before with Sprites Space, but it didn't take off. What I think would be more likely to work would be to build in a Sprite Lab program right into the website, like in Flash or PHP or something. So people can just come to the site and easily browse, edit and submit new sprites. Sometime I'd like to do that.

Anyone want to work with me on a site like that?

[EDIT]
I have an idea! UTI wants to sponsor a sister site, and a new Sprites Space with a built in Sprite Lab editor thing would be perfect for that! Any takers?

Well, first we need to get someone who knows more advanced web development stuff, like PHP. I'm hoping to get more responses about it at UTI.

I might have to learn it myself though. Well, I'll let you know if I find anyone.
