Oh wow Andy  I didn't know that was for full metal chemist, I hadn't seen the color one but the grayscale one I thought was for a Desolate 2 or something :D The hair on him doesn't look too much like hair, more like a helmet (again the grayscale one), and before anyone says those two larger ones don't look different, take a CLOSE look. Ehehe. Well I'm bored so I'm gonna try to improve those for the hell of it, or maybe think of what to use. I thank you guys for the suggestions but actually, I may have to come up with something. Something not too complicated that it'd take 20 pages to explain the entire conversion, but not something too simple that I wouldn't be able to cover enough. Oh well. *is going to six flags today, and should probably getting a bit more sleep, so will take a nap in a bit*

I made my own try at it, did almost no modifications to the original ones (made the hair a little more like hair for the GS one although that didn't work out too well, adjusted colors on the color one, converted the grayscale to perfect 4 level grayscale (evenly distributed values)) then started converting to make my own, and well... I made 4, two hand styles with two different heads each (the bigger head is better of course :D). The one at the topright I left there because I thought it was funny, from a pure 50% resize of the grayscaled large color one. Looks like a disfigured mad scientist or something, heh. So yeah.. this is what I did:

Edit: Oh, Six Flags Over Texas, in Arlington. Has The Titan, Mr. Freeze, Superman, and a few other great mentionables (along with many other rides of course, but those are the best ones).

The Titan lasts for about 3 minutes but the first drop goes ~85mph.

Mr. Freeze fires you out of a tunnel via magnets and the ride is very curvy and fast, you go straight up, sit there for about a second, and then go backwards through the entire thing again. Lasts ~40 seconds.

Superman is this tower that you fire up and go down and up and down, at some point you get to the VERY top and sit there for about 10 seconds, then fall almost all the way down, then back up, then down and you're done. The most thrilling parts are right when it starts, because you dunno when it'll start, and when it drops you from the top. So fun! :D

I've got an unused disposable camera so I'll see about getting a bunch of pictures. I'm going with my best friend Drew, and we're gonna be there from 10am until 6pm, sooo yeah we'll probably ride every roller coaster

Nice sprite work DarkAuron :). I especially like the one with the larger head.

Image

Aside from the fact they are 17 pixels tall, i still found one problem which occurs when you take away the darker background colour:

Image

As you can see they look kind of weird without the darker background present.

I rectified this situation with a redesign, the sprite now fits into 16x16 also:

Image

The first one has lighter eyes, the second one has darker.

Oh yeah, i hope you enjoy your trip lots ... have heaps of fun! :).

Just for the sake of it i decided to do it in colour as well:

Hand resized to 16x16 in both 16-colour and 4-level grayscale.

It is good but unfortunately it is too large. Both dimension and filesize wise.

Inspired by a larger picture i found somewhere, i copied some off it and made some other parts up ... but it is just an image i use to test grayscale routines with.
*snicker* I found out where you got that  And I must say, the original artist for that makes me look like a total n00b pixel artist. :o  :o :o   :? Clicky

You know, that sonic animation along with the homestar animation totally swallow my modem when combined
