Yeah, the gophers and the Tarzan part were like Jar-Jar in the new starwars for me. The main difference was that it only lasted a few seconds, rather than having them as a main role.

Did anyone else think the crystal skull looked like a stage prop?

I mean come on, it had to be a plastic mold with aluminum foil crumpled inside... Kind of distracting for me atleast.

After watching the new Indiana Jones, I came home and watched the Ark of the Covenant one. Although I liked the new one, I felt like Harrison Ford was trying to act like Indiana Jones, rather than acting as Indiana Jones.

But I would say that overall it was true to the series. Though I really would have liked to see more puzzles, and less of that psychic Russian woman.

Hmm... I haven't seen it yet and don't really plan to ( unless at some point i get to see it for free.) I don't have any faith in George Lucas after seeing Starwars episodes 1-3; It seems he is just in it for the money these days. It also seems really odd to have Harrison Ford in the role of Indy as he's gotten older so yea.... For anyone intersted in seeing it I heard that it was so-so, but nowhere near as great as the older ones. It seems Indiana Jones and the last crusade really should have been Indy's last crusade . ;)

Which is impossible since he already had another adventure after that... Indiana Jones: Fate of Atlantis

The original intention was that there would be five films. Hopefully the fifth (if they end up making it) would follow the pattern of good-bad-good-bad we've seen so far. :)

Yeah great movie, if you don't view it too closely to the classics..

Unfortunately i think it went the way of the Star Wars, too many special effects ... which is pretty big of me as I'm going into the 3D animation industry :P

Still I enjoyed watching it and am glad that they released another Indiana Jones movie in my lifetime :D

The same thing was going through my mind when I saw this movie. Glad I pirated it. :D
