I couldn't agree more with Galandros. =) I have to say, I am glad it is still progressing if even at just a trickle. =)

Man, I loved this game back in the day. Still hoping for a sequel/prequel/-quel.

Did a small amount of coding believe it or not. Fixed some crucial bugs and added huffman text compression (getting around 30% which is handy). Have added a lot of the datacart text and made progress on the inventory and some items:

And yes i understand the text is hard to read, but you do get used to it :).

That's looking great, tr1p1ea! :) Have you tried antialiasing the text to improve legibility?

Ill be honest, i have considered it, but at this stage i cant be bothered haha :).

I have looked into it, however its the sheer small size of the font that is to blame. 3x4 is not very big.

It seems that grayscale wont help unless i want to violate the 3x4 font size restrition.

I have however doubled the space character to see if that makes words more distinguishable and thus more readable?

I didn't say that the text was illegible, it's very good for how tiny it has to be courtesy of the low resolution display! I'd say that the wider space does look much clearer, though. :-)

Me too! I also think the text looks better with the two-pixel space. Like you said before, though, i think it's mostly a matter of getting used to the font. I really love the reflection on the floor...

I'm really glad to see this still being worked on. The extra space actually does help the readability. :)

Hi guys, just wondering what anyone thinks about a slight graphics change from the original to make things look a little less weird? Something like:

The side walls are skinnier however they offer more depth?
