I saw spambots registering and posting as registered members too. On Omnimaga the first spambot who spammed me was registered

yeah, most of the spam bots did register. Its funny how dumb they are. I guess they didn't figure out that no one has posted there in months...

seems like the more spambots who post, the more spambots it attracts.
the funny thing on Omnimaga is that the first spambot who spammed the off-topic section took time to post in the RIGHT section (altough the spam section would have been better) and he EVEN PUT a topic heart icon next to topic title

maybe that was a IPB based bot tho

What, nobody's noticed the pr0nbots on the MaxCoderz forums yet? Look at our newest registered user, and I think we had BlackPussy, we might still.

Rezek, we do notice them and kv83 gets rid of them asap. I think it should be set to visual verification too. Damn spambots :\.

Oh, no, I didn't mean to say that MC Staff weren't doing their job well enough by any means, I thought it was odd that everybody was talking about them on z80 Revelation without noticing them here.

RevSoft just got attacked by some. Jim E seems to believe in editing out the posts rather than deleting them . 'Course that still leaves the sig with all the adverts in it :|

I really like the spambots at the old Revelation forum. The just keep making random topics about adult content. Hilarious. :D

Actually I disabled their sig. The reason i edited them out is because people for some reason have to respond to every spambot attack rather than just PMing me once.

I surprised that we got a spambot, beyond visual verification phpbb doesn't seem to have a stronger practical deterrent.
