Why then are you warning people against some piece of software if you're not even sure that this software is what caused your problem? Isn't that what they'd call slander?

Crunchy is not my software, and I'm not offended, but I think it's not fair to dwedit to discredit his software without even being sure it was his software that caused your crash.

And it's not helpful either, because you're basically saying "hey, watch out, calculators can crash for reasons beyond my comprehension". No kidding...

On top of that the topic is nearly 3 years old. This is the second biggest necroposting I ever seen in the community so far (the previous one being by me on UTI about two years ago I think :P *hides*)

Imho i would email the author, or in the case where the author announce in his readme that he is no longer giving support for calc stuff usually he will provide another source of help, so you can post here. But IIRC his email was in the readme so I would have emailed him instead. Also when emailing an author make sure to not post like this:
HI DUDA
I NED UR H3LP
I111!1! WTF LOL INSTALED CRUNCHY
ON MAH CALCULA2R
AND
IT FREID MAH UR R SUKS
FIX IT ASAP OR I WIL KIL U1!1!1!!1 LOL
because 80% of the emails I got about my games were like this (minus the u sucks and death threat part)

We appreciate you wanting to help out, but not offering the author any information of the crash and telling others to watch out is not fair. If someone saw that post about it crashing, they might take it to heart. I am a lover of the program, just wish it was complete (or even being worked on ;) ).

I'm still around...
You know your hexadecimal output routine is broken when it displays the character 'G'.
