One of the best pranks is to install the startup app then set it to start the blue lcd program. As soon as the victim turns off the calculator and turns it back on, the screen is blue. You cannot quit the program, and if you take out the triple a's, the screen still stays blue.

Why do people keep posting here? :x There have been 187 posts since the last real update, and most of them have not even been about metroid. Is this becoming a "chat about random stuff without fear of mods" topic? Really, if you are going to post here, talk about the metriod game. Otherwis...

How to Create Adventure Games by Christopher Lampton
copyright 1986
basically it is a book that leads you through creating an adventure game with explanations of each part, then gives you the code for the game they created and a skeleton so you can make one.

Yeah, I read that post on UTI a few days ago. I don't want my program to grind to a halt after a little while.
Another question, is there any way to package several programs into a group and then have a basic program ungroup them when it is used? Also, is there any way to delete programs in basic?

Yes, I know how to use programs as subroutines, but I was hoping to not have a whole lot of little subroutine programs. Thanks for the help with archiving. :)

[TI BASIC] Subroutines and unarchiving in BASIC

Is there any way to archive/unarchive BASIC programs on the calculator from a BASIC program? Also, If I want to use subroutines in a program, do I have to make a new program to contain each subroutine? I am working on adapting an old BASIC adventure game skeleton to TI basic as you can read in the a...

The adventure game in the book does not support pictures, but I could add them in after I get the first version working.
The typing shouldn't be too bad, as you only really have to type the first three letters of the two words you use.

Adventure Game with text input

I'm working on adapting an old BASIC Adventure game skeleton for the calculator. It can accept two word input. Is there any interest for this, or is it too hard to type on the calculator? :? You will only need to type two words, or even three letters of each word. I will release the example game tha...

This game looks somewhat like Tanks Incoming. It was written in basic, and ran very well. It also had lot of interesting weapons. Here is a link:
